PASTORAL RENEWAL
A MINISTRY CARING FOR PASTORS THROUGH REST AND RENEWAL
15,000
Behind the numbers are pastors who still love God but were exhausted, isolated, and in desperate need of rest. Spiritual care for leaders are no longer optional, they are essential.

STORY FROM GENERATIONAL PASTORS
“AS PASTORS, WE'RE USED TO BEING THE ONES WHO GIVE. BEING GIVEN A SPACE TO REST, WITHOUT COST OR EXPECTATION, REMINDED ME THAT GOD STILL SEES US. THIS TRIP RESTORED MORE THAN OUR ENERGY, IT RESTORED OUR HEART”
Jairus and Abbi are generational pastors, faithful parents, and servants at the heart of their community. They love Jesus deeply and give themselves fully to others, often at the cost of their own rest. This Sabbath experience became a sacred interruption, restoring not just their strength, but their hearts.

REST RESTORES THE CALLING
Pastors carry grief, conflict, constant need, and spiritual pressure, often in silence. We exist to give weary shepherds a real Sabbath, with practical help and no hidden agenda.
NO cost lodging, NO expectations, NO sales pitch.
APPLY OR NOMINATE
A pastor may apply for themselves, or someone who cares about them may submit a nomination. The form is confidential and designed to help us understand the current season of life, ministry, and need.
1
WE REVIEW AND FOLLOW UP
Our team prayerfully reviews each submission. When helpful, we follow up with a brief conversation to listen, ask clarifying questions, and discern how we might best serve.
2
WE MATCH DATES AND LOCATIONS
Based on availability, location, and the pastor’s season of life, we work to match a retreat opportunity that fits well. This may include an overnight getaway or a single day experience.
3
YOU REST AND RECONNECT
There is no agenda, no meetings, and no expectations. This time is set apart for rest, time with the Lord, and reconnection with family and calling.
4
OPTIONAL FEEDBACK STORY AFTER
After the experience, pastors are invited, but never required, to share feedback or a short reflection. These stories help encourage others and steward the generosity of donors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this really free?
Yes. Lodging for overnight respite trips is provided at no cost through donated timeshare access. In some cases, additional help with travel, meals, or simple activities may be available when the need is clear and resources allow. Our goal is not luxury, but to remove financial barriers so rest is possible.
Why are most trips Monday through Friday?
We typically use Monday-through-Friday stays because they align best with how donated timeshare access works and allow us to steward resources wisely. Midweek stays are often quieter, less crowded, and more conducive to rest. When flexibility is possible, we are happy to explore it.
Can we bring our children?
Yes, for family-designated trips. Some respite opportunities are designed for couples or individuals, while others are family-friendly. During the application process, you can indicate who would be attending, and we will work to match you with an appropriate option.
What locations are possible?
Locations depend on donated timeshare availability and seasonal access. Many trips take place at resort destinations such as Wisconsin Dells, Branson, and other regional options. We prayerfully match location, timing, and need rather than offering a fixed menu of destinations.
How does confidentiality work?
We take confidentiality seriously. Applications and conversations are shared only within our small ministry team for discernment and care. We do not share personal details with donors or third parties. Any stories or feedback shared publicly are optional and used only with permission.
Can our church help with travel and meals?
Yes, and we encourage it when possible. When lodging is covered by DBM and a church or board helps with travel, meals, or simple activities, the experience often feels more restful and less financially stressful for the pastor. Participation from a church is welcomed but never required.
Can we share about this on social media?
Yes, you are welcome to share your experience. We simply ask that posts focus on rest, renewal, and gratitude rather than promoting specific lodging details or presenting the experience as a publicly bookable program. Protecting discretion helps us continue offering these opportunities to others.
